Lost Quilts

There have been a couple of posts I've seen lately about lost quilts; I thought I would share the links here to help get the word out:

One is a lady on my Janome Yahoo Group: http://www.sarahannsmith.com/weblog/?p=6521

The other is Karen Combs, the quilting instructor,  who had some quilts stolen last weekend in New Braunfels, Texas. You can read about it here:
http://karencombs.wordpress.com/

Maybe someone will see one of these missing quilts somewhere and contact the owner. The ironic thing is I was in New Braunfels last weekend myself. We spent the weekend at a Bed and Breakfast place in Gruene and hit a lot of the area quilt shops and antique stores. Here are some pictures of the room we stayed in at the Bed and Breakfast place:

The rooms are all decorated with antiques.

Don't know if you can tell, but the two framed pieces over the bed are remnants of an old quilt.

The zebra cosmetic bag is mine--that's why it doesn't fit in with the decor.

A little chair with a pillow made from vintage linens.

And a collection of old teacups in a shelf on the wall. I didn't get any pictures of the rest of the building, but it's called the Greune Apple Inn, the breakfasts were great, and I really liked the ambience.

I have more pix in the camera of the Victoria Quilt Guild show which was this weekend; I'll try to get them posted here soon.........
