I have a new block for October. I chose it from Quilterscache, and it's called Dakota Gold. You can find the instructions here. Be sure and look at the second page of the instructions to see what a finished quilt made from this block would look like. The block is made from 2-1/2" squares and half-square triangles; also four 2-1/2" x 4-1/2" rectangles, two from each of the two main colors. You can construct it in four quadrants which are joined together with the rectangles and the center square. Here's a pic:
