Another time change…..why can’t we just pick a time and leave it alone? I’m all messed up already. My biological clock doesn’t adjust that quickly. LOL.
I taught a two-day class at quilt guild. The subject was “How to Use Your Scraps”. I talked about how I process my scraps so that they actually make it into quilts. At the end of the discussion, I handed out books with patterns for potato chip quilts.
In case you are wondering, I got permission to reproduce the patterns and hand them out at the class. Everyone had pre-cut some “potato chips” and could choose which pattern they wanted to try. Here are a few of them.
I think it’s interesting to see the different color choices. I started on one myself, but when I started trying to put them together, I realized I had sewn them wrong, so I started a different one. I didn’t get that far, but I worked on it at home Friday night and yesterday and got five rows done.
I still need three more rows. I hope I can get it done this week. My intention is to use it for a Project Graduation quilt. There are about 30 quilt patterns in the booklet. I would really like to try all of them. Well, that’s a goal, but it might not happen. I’ll see how far I can get with it.
Last night, I sat down and took apart the ones I had done wrong during the workshop. I turned on a Hallmark movie. I didn’t want to do it, but it wasn’t too bad once I got started. I plan to re-stitch them today.

Your class sounds so fun! We get irritated at the time change too, it just seems so ridiculous - what is the point? Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI really don’t know what the point is. I was always told so the farmers have an extra hour of daylight in the summer, but that doesn’t make sense to me. You have the same amount of daylight no matter if it’s in the morning or in the evening.
DeleteI know what you mean about time change but I like the light in the morning but evening sure will come fast.
ReplyDeleteYes, the days are getting shorter, and it will soon be dark early.
