Making Progress

I was hoping to get at least one side of the next border added to my Stay at Home Round Robin, and I did! It has taken more time than I would like to admit but I’m finally seeing some progress.

I laid it out on my family room floor—I like to take pictures there because 1) it’s a pretty big room, and 2) I have skylights so the lighting is pretty good. I took this picture after dark so not so good lighting, and the top has gotten so big, I am running out of room. Here’s a closer view:

Yes, I’m standing on it! I still need to get the two sides done, but it’s coming along, and I’m happy with the progress so far.

I have been totally neglecting my RSC blocks; I have a few red strips cut, and I hope to get some blocks made before the weekend. But if it doesn’t happen, oh well! There is always next week.

Tomorrow is bunco, and I signed up for sandwiches. I’m thinking turkey and Swiss. I will need to go by the store today and pick up fresh bread. Rye would be good. A friend I haven’t seen in a while texted yesterday to see if I wanted to meet up today for lunch, and of course I said yes. I’m looking forward to catching up.

  1. Your SAHRR looks pretty - and big! I love the colors. Your Bunco group will eat well. Hubby and I found the best pumpernickel/rye bread at Walmart's bakery. It is pricey (for us) at over $4 a loaf, but it was fresh and delicious, and we are going back for more today.

  2. I like the same bread as Linda said at the walmart bakery. I like that border on the quilt I will be putting that one on one of mine

    1. I stopped at Walmart today and got a loaf of the bread. Three of us are bringing sandwiches, so 1 loaf should be enough. I’m so anxious to get that border finished!
