It has rained pretty much all day for the last three days. Luckily, it was clear Saturday morning and I was able to get to the farmers market. I got there at nine when they opened and people were already lined up.
I was in line for a while, but I got tomatoes, zucchini, and okra.
I did a little bit of sewing. Betty gave me two pillow panels that her sister bought at a garage sale. They are totally 1980’s. Or maybe early 90’s. My grandmother made a quilt from these panels around that time, so I remember them.
They hadn’t been cut apart, so I fused some fusible fleece to the entire thing, folded it in half, and boxed the bottom. I added handles and now it’s a bag.
I have another stray cat that showed up at my shop. He/she is white with black patches and is not full grown. It’s hungry all the time. LOL.

Oh that's an adorable kitty! Good thing I'm not there, I'd take them both off your hands - lol - that's just what we need, another cat in a house with 5 cats and 2 dogs!!
ReplyDeleteI like that pillowcase, it sure made a cute bag. You do add fusible to the boxy bottom, right? For some reason I'm having trouble getting started on my bag - feel like I'm in a brain fog!
It'll be interesting to see what the tropical storm does in your area. Our son in The Woodlands doesn't think it will do much there.
That cat is cute but very vocal! It sits outside by the door and meows for food. On the bag, I ironed the fusible fleece to the entire thing including the bottom. We didn’t get much of anything from the storm.
DeleteI don't make bags but good luck with them. I love cats but they sure can be fussy about people touching them - I will stick with my girls dogs.
ReplyDeleteI have always had dogs, and I definitely understand dogs better than I do cats! The cats are pretty though.
