So much for thinking most of my days would be free to sew and quilt! My granddaughter's volleyball playoffs changed all of that. I'm sorry to say they didn't win the regional match, although they played well.
They played five sets, and lost by one. It was the same team they lost the regional match to last year, so that was doubly disappointing.I got a little bit done on my "to-do" list, but not as much as I had hoped.
1) Get section "A" of the Women of the Bible quilt put together. Make some of the section "B" blocks, if possible. Not quite. I did get the last block(s) made for the A section, but I haven't taken the time to sit down and sew it all together.
Potipher's wife.2) Work on Gloria's hearts. No, I need to get that done this week.
4) November BOM from A Quilting Life. No. I got the pattern printed, but that's as far is it got.
5) Spend 30 minutes a day cleaning my sewing room. No.
6) Find 10 fat quarters for a Villa Rosa quilt. Yes, I had ten that I bought on sale at JoAnn's that all will go together.
So, some of the the things from last week's list will need to trickle over and get done this week.
1) Continue to work on Women of the Bible quilt.
2) Work on Gloria's hearts.
3) A Quilting Life BOM.
4) Put together a Villa Rosa quilt top.
5) Spend 30 min per day on the sewing room.
6) Finish some quilts for North Carolina.
I'm not sure what's on tap for this week. I know I have church today, so there won't be too much sewing done, unless I feel like it this evening. And, I know volleyball is over for this season, so that frees up a little time. Here's a picture of all of us after the regional game:Taken at our favorite barbecue spot.
I am linking this post to Quilt Schmilt. I hope everyone has a wonderful week.
Sorry about your granddaughter's loss. It does make it harder when it is a loss to the same team. Love that photo of all of you. I saw some of that cute fabric yesterday at our Joann's! Their Keepsake cottons were on sale for 4.95/yard and I got a lot of fabric for my grandson's wedding quilt - so excited.
ReplyDeleteYou at least made progress with most of your to do list last week. You have some fun projects in the works. Sorry your granddaughter's team didn't win, but getting to regionals is a significant achievement. Happy stitching this week.
