On The Frame

I don’t know when I made this string quilt; probably a few years ago.

I make a lot of string quilts. They are great for scraps, and they generally are mindless sewing. I will be happy to get this one done.


I found the prettiest design, but I didn’t have a matching gray thread. I used a variegated thread, and I wasn’t sure about it, but Bill mentioned how much he liked it—without being asked. 

He hung the curtain rods I bought. They are 120” long and have clips to hang quilts. I’m really happy with them.

His drill motor was still on the floor when I took the picture. 😁
