To-Do-List Tuesday 10-29-24

It's hard to believe October is almost over. It has passed pretty fast, but then again, the whole year has just zoomed by. I got a lot done this last week compared to the weeks when I have a lot of appointments or travel.

1) Bind Karen's Christmas quilt. Yes.

2) Make Gloria some hearts from her husband's shirts. Yes.

He was a painter, and there is no shortage of the Sherwin Williams shirts. I still need to make some more from some other shirts she brought me.
3) Make samples for guild workshop. Yes.

4) Spend 30 minutes a day cleaning up the sewing room. LOL. No. Not even one day did this happen.
5) Cut some squares for my Journey quilt. Yes.
6) Make another Women of the Bible quilt block. Yes.
I'm still enjoying these, and I am almost ready to sew the first section together. I just need to make four more blocks plus a bunch of connector blocks.

I'm not sure what to put on my next list; I will be in Houston Thursday through Saturday for the International Quilt festival, so needless to say, I won't have time to do much. I do have a few things in mind for tomorrow and maybe Sunday afternoon that I want to get done.

1) Another Women of the Bible block and more connector blocks.
2) Cut some more shirts for the Journey quilt.
3) Do some embroidery or crochet during my Houston stay.
4) Make some more hearts for Gloria.

This may be a little ambitious; I'll have to see how many days it takes me to recover from Houston. I expect I will be tired, so if not everything gets done, I'm okay with it.

I am linking this post to Quilt Schmilt. I hope everyone has a happy, productive week.

  1. Those Sherwin Williams hearts are so sweet. Are you staying near the convention center in Houston? I haven't' been since 2012, and we had just moved to Katy. I spent the day there by myself after my husband dropped me off. It would have been fun with a group.

    1. Yes, about five blocks from George R. Brown, so it will be walkable.

  2. Enjoy the International Quilt Festival, you got a lot done before you hit the road. Hopefully you'll be inspired to do more once you are home.

    1. Thank you Kate. I'm sure I'll be inspired--I just don't want to start too many new things.
